Global Production Engineering at the Technische Universität Berlin is a postgraduate Master’s program. The majority of the courses are given in the Production Technology Center, which is home to the University’s Institute for Machine Tools and Factory Management as well as the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology, and thus represents an exciting blend between fundamental research and applied research in real-life environments. At GPE, our mission is to nurture the next generation of talented engineers, preparing them to become responsible production managers who will positively impact our society through their global careers. During their studies, students will dive deep into the essentials of production engineering and management, digitally integrated production, exploring cutting-edge renewable energy technologies, mastering project and quality management, and understanding life cycle assessment methods.
Alumni often find their way into positions of responsibility in complex global manufacturing projects and companies. With the Master of Science in Global Production Engineering under their belts, they are more than well equipped for this task.
As we want to nurture the talents and interests of every single student, they are free to choose their own curriculum covering subjects from five module groups: Production, Engineering, Management, Intercultural Communication and a Special Profile. Upon completing this program, students will be equipped with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, giving them the ideal preparation for a career in science and technology, but you can also pursue a fulfilling career in industry. To make this program even more enriching, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, such as visits at factories and trade fairs, celebratory events and opportunities to travel to international conferences and events. Our student body is a vibrant global community, and our common language is English, with additional German courses to help you master the technical language. To ensure you’re set for a fantastic future, we provide job application training and access to a broad network of industry contacts and GPE alumni.
