Description:

The MA Program is offered by the Furtwangen University in partnership with the Academy for Cultural Diplomacy at the Center for Cultural Diplomacy studies (CCDS).

The regular duration of the Master program is four semesters with total of 120 ECTS credits. Depending on your previous qualifications (studies and practical experience), the programme can also be shortened to three semesters with total of 90 ECTS credits.

The program is conducted fully in Berlin/ Potsdam, Germany. 

The program follows the conventional university structure of three or four semesters. Students are offered elective courses to accompany mandatory courses, professional development experience and the final thesis.

Program Structure:

The study semesters (2 or 3 study semesters, based on the track of the program) are conducted by the Center of Cultural Diplomacy Studies (CCDS) and the HFU university faculty. The Programs are conducted fully in Berlin/Potsdam, on CCDS Campus.

The study semesters will consist of mandatory and elective modules so as professional development program. On the last semester of the program, the students will produce a final thesis on a related topic of choice, under the supervision of the HFU university selected supervisors.  At the end of the last semester of the course, the students will be then required to submit their Thesis.

  • ECTS: 90 ECTS or 120 ECTS
  • Programme duration: 3 or 4 semesters (18 or 24 months)
  • Tuition fees: 6,000€ per year
  • Total fees - Short track: 9,000€
  • Total fees - Regular track: 12,000€

This master's degree programme prepares students to deal with complex systems in a globalised economy and society.

To this end, we not only provide in-depth knowledge of international economic relations, but also intercultural competence. "Cultural Diplomacy aims to facilitate and improve relations and cooperation between different countries and cultures. International business in combination with cultural diplomacy opens up new horizons!

  • Out of the lecture hall: Of course, we offer seminars and lectures. But our timetable also includes tours, visits and meetings with foreign specialists and leading experts from organisations, embassies and academic institutions!
  • With a basic network: Our exceptional learning environment enables you to build a professional network. We create a solid foundation for your future academic and professional career and your engagement on the international stage.
  • Two tracks: You should plan four semesters for your path to a master's. Depending on your previous qualifications (studies and practical experience), the programme can also be shortened to three semesters.
  • In the heart of the capital: Our university locations are in southern Germany, but we offer EBCD at the campus of our cooperation partner ICD, where you can study "Cultural Diplomacy" in the heart of the German capital, a European metropolis, and build your international network.
