Are you passionate about creating a meaningful impact in global health? Fulda University of Applied Sciences offers a programme tailored to your ambition. Our curriculum is designed to address health disparities and promote global health equity. Choose Fulda and navigate the dynamic world of global health.
Recent global health challenges, like the global pandemic, political conflicts, and rising rates of non-communicable diseases highlight the interconnected nature of health issues that transcend national boundaries.
Now, more than ever, there's a need for skilled professionals who can navigate these complexities and prepare public health institutions for the challenges and advantages of globalization. The Bachelor of Science in Global Health equips you to address the interplay of structural, political, social, economic, and environmental determinants shaping global health. You will engage critically with many dimensions affecting global health, including government policies, demographic shifts, disparities in wealth, climate change, and many more.
Through a holistic education spanning health, social, and political sciences and with unique features like international internships, study abroad options, hands-on research, and mentoring by professors actively working in the field, Fulda’s Global Health programme prepares you to be tomorrow's global health leaders.
The study programme is conducted entirely in English. Additionally, during the first semester module, students have the opportunity to learn or improve another language. The semester abroad (in 4th semester) allows students to solidify their proficiency in another language.
Although the study programme language is English, international students are required to provide evidence of an A2 level (or higher) of proficiency in the German language. This requirement is essential for managing their daily lives outside the university and for increasing their prospects in the German job market upon graduation.
Addressing global health issues requires well-trained individuals who understand their nuances and complexity, and who can work together across various fields to find solutions.
The field of global health offers diverse roles in addressing health challenges across the world:
