The 3-year BA programme gives students a core knowledge of European politics, culture and society whilst emphasising Europe’s role in a wider global framework. Key concepts, such as culture, identity, diversity, democratic processes, Europeanisation and globalisation, are discussed in an interdisciplinary manner. Tackling European affairs through a sociological, political and economic lens, students gain a cross-sectional awareness of the many challenges facing contemporary societies. The programme equips them with tools to analyse current events and understand the complexities of political and socio-economic phenomena and prepares students for further education in the field of international relations.

Programme graduates find employment in public administration, national and international institutions and organisations, EU institutions, non-governmental organisations, cultural institutions, mass media and publishing. The programme also serves as the first step towards continuing the student’s academic education on a graduate and postgraduate level.
